20 images. 20 seconds each. Stories worth sharing.
Join us for an evening of fast-paced storytelling, creativity and inspiration as makers, artisans and heritage practitioners take the stage for PechaKucha: Made to Last, part of the inaugural Heritage Hands Festival in Sandgate.
PechaKucha is a unique presentation format where each speaker shares 20 images, with 20 seconds per image — creating a presentation lasting just 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
The images advance automatically, keeping the presentations lively, visual and engaging.
Through personal stories, creative journeys and insights into their craft, our speakers will explore the skills, traditions, materials and ideas that shape their work, and what it means to create something that lasts.
From traditional trades and specialist crafts to contemporary creative practice, Made to Last celebrates the people, knowledge and ingenuity behind things made by hand.
