Love knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing or another craft you can do while watching a film?
Make ’n’ Movie is a relaxed, social evening celebrating the simple pleasure of making things by hand – together.
Bring along your knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, hand sewing, mending, beading, sketchbook or another portable project, and settle in for a film on the big screen while you work on something of your own.
Whether you’re an experienced maker, just getting started or have a half-finished project that’s been waiting patiently for some attention, everyone is welcome.
It’s an opportunity to enjoy a film, meet fellow makers, share a little knowledge and spend an evening doing something you love.
Think movie night meets craft gathering.
We’ll provide the chairs and the big screen. You bring your project, your materials and whatever you need to keep your hands busy.
Tables will also be available for anyone needing a little extra working space.
There’s no formal instruction or workshop component – just an easygoing evening of making alongside others.
The film will be announced soon.
Bring a portable project you can comfortably work on while seated, such as:
Remember to bring your own tools and materials. Projects that don’t require large equipment or extensive setup will work best.
